Awesome thing I found today.... Chains!, and I'm in love with the concept, I think this could have a lot of meanings. Btw this was a withered rose but looks more alive in the photo (:

This is a stunning photo of two chained dirty hands holding a rose. The contrast between the two components is alluring and the the title of this piece, "At Least I'm Free" labels this visual metaphor beautifully. The hands represent being bound and chained; a restraint on the person's life. While the chains suggest a halt, or the obstacles of life, the rose suggests something more. The rose contradicts the chains. The rose is hope. The rose is love. The rose is beauty. The rose is freedom. The subtlety of the hands in this photo is amazing. They envelope the rose with such tender care. One would not want to drop this rose for it is the key to happiness. This photograph is inspiring and that rose radiates a muted power. It even seems to have loosened the grip of those chains quite a bit.
